The 1st qualifying event for this year’s Yorkshire Snooker Handicap was concluded today, with the new group single frame format seemingly proving popular with the players, judging by the feedback received.
Five of Yorkshire’s largest Snooker leagues are represented by the 16 qualifiers.
The 8 group winners were-
Richard Binns – Leeds
Matthew Holgate – Leeds
Tony Fell – Leeds
Kev Firth – Bradford
Rich Reid – Harrogate
Liam Mills – Harrogate
Darren Hemingway – Wetherby
Martyn Glen – Bradford
After the KO round for the 2nd/3rd finishers.
The further 8 qualifiers were-
Ethan Ross – Leeds
Michael Whaley – Mirfield
Saood Nawab – Huddersfield
Aidan Holroyd – Bradford
Jack Walker – Bradford
Michael Rhodes – Bradford
Richard Kilby – Doncaster
Danny Peel – Bradford
All the above will progress to the finals day on May 10th.
