Sheffield “2” retain Division 1 Title.

Their postponed match with Leeds “1” remained un-played which meant Sheffield “2” visited Wharfedale needing 3 points to ensure they finished in top spot. The match started badly for Sheffield, Gyles Behbood putting the home side 2-0 in front with breaks of 72 and the seasons highest of 108. Shaun Wilkes(65) hit back to level, and Will Lemons(60) secured the win (4-2) and the title for Sheffield.

Brighouse finished runners up, Michael Whaley and Craig Butler starring in a 5-1 home win against Leeds “2”, Mick Jensen replying for the visitors.

In a match played earlier, Sheffield “1” drew 3-3 with Castleford, Jason Evans-Bates putting Sheffield in front before Pete Raby hit back for Cas.

In addition to winning the high break prize, Gyles Behbood also won the MVP race with an impressive 17 wins from 20 frames played.

In division 2, champions Harrogate “1” finished the season with a 6-0 demolition of Wakefield to maintain their unbeaten record. Kaif Shazad (59), Callum Waite and Tom Harris all on target for Harrogate.

Huddersfield “1” sealed second place with a 3-3 draw at home to Sheffield “3”. Reece Matin (63) putting the visitors in front before Conrad Norcliffe (109) hit back for Huddersfield, taking the high break prize in the process.

Harrogate “2” had a fine 4-2 win away at Bradford, Neil Little proving the difference between the sides.

In the last match, Halifax defeated Huddersfield “2” 4-2, Johnny Gallagher starring for Halifax.

The division’s MVP went to Callum Waite with 22 wins from 28 frames played.
