Barnsley’s Brett Miller overcame a strong field in the last 16 of the 2019 Yorkshire Snooker Handicap at Pockets Snooker Centre in Rotherham to lift the trophy he previously won in 2003 and 2009.
Miller, playing off -60, defeated Castleford’s Daniel Womersley, also -60, 3-1 in the final, but it was the manner of performance throughout the day that impressed most, not dropping a single frame in making the showpiece finale after playing some of the county’s finest talent.

Three games left in both divisions baring a couple of postponed fixtures from division two we are on track, great work from captains re-arranging those postponed fixtures especially from division one.
Last weekend division one played fixture set 11 and with it some table movement, Sheffield 2 have regained top spot after a hard fought win over Bradford 1 which now puts them top with more matches won but on equal points with Rotherham and what could be a vital a game in hand over them.
Qualifiers now confirmed
With both qualifying events now complete in the Yorkshire Snooker Championships, at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds, the final 8 are now confirmed with defending Champion Johnathan Bagley (Leeds), Michael Whaley (Halifax), Shaun Wilkes (Rotherham), Gary Milne (Scarborough), Ryan Walton (Leeds), David Portman (Sheffield), Richard Binns (Leeds) and James Dabell (Sheffield) all making it through to the latter stages.
Just a quick update for some of you, i have recently been told that some of the sites menu links wasn’t working on iOS Apple devices, since i don’t use any of these devices myself to gain access to the site it was unknown to me.
I have looked into the issue and found the problem and hopefully solved it so people trying to view our site pages using these devices should now be fixed.
Any known issues like this i would love to find out sooner rather than later a simple email to me at admin@ybsa.co.uk would be great.
Happy viewing people
