Coronavirus to halt current season

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation in the country and In line with government advice, especially with pubs, clubs, restaurants etc closing, the current season is to be suspended with immediate effect until further notice.

This means that the following events under the Yorkshire Billiards & Snooker Association are being put on hold and will be rearranged at a later date:

Yorkshire Snooker Handicap Finals – Sunday 29th March (Pockets Snooker, Rotherham)

Yorkshire Billiards Championship – Sunday 5th April (Cue Gardens, Bradford)

Yorkshire Snooker Championships Quarters and Semis – Sunday 19th April (Northern Snooker Centre, Leeds)

Yorkshire Billiards Handicap – Sunday 17th May (Cue Gardens, Bradford)

Yorkshire Snooker Pairs – Sunday 17th May (Northern Snooker Centre, Leeds)

Because of this situation, the Yorkshire Snooker Final and Presentation Night scheduled for Friday 5th June at The Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds will now be postponed as well

With only two matches remaining in the Yorkshire Inter District Snooker League, these will be played at a later date and all matches between districts are also suspended

It is expected that all these competitions will continue in due course, with new dates to be planned once the threat of coronavirus has passed, but may not be for some time yet

Thank you for your understanding and on behalf of myself and Committee keep safe and healthy

All the best
