Richard Binns and partner Glen Cassidy came through a tough field of players to take the 2019 Yorkshire pairs title 2019.
They won a deciding frame against one of the favourites for the title, world senior number 1 Johnathan Bagley and twice Yorkshire singles finalists Pete Fisher.
Binns and Cassidy won a close encounter with another Leeds pair in their opener 3-2 followed by two 3-1 victory’s to make the final.
Bagley and Fisher seemed to breeze through their half winning all matches 3-0 until coming up against Binns and Cassidy.
Well done guys.
I was there and I want to give a special shout out to our junior entries, I was completely stunned of the amount of talent our juniors brought to the table a credit to our region.
Just to name a few I witnessed apologises if I missed some out, Casey Radcliff, Liam Pullen, Samuel Lee Stevens, Dylan Kemp, Lewis Harper, Kaif Shazad and our only female entry Shannon Metcalf.
Amazing talents and I look forward to seeing more of you, keep up the good cueing and even more so your brilliant attitudes.
