Sheffield “2” leads the way.
After a 4-2 win away at Brighouse, last years champions Sheffield “2” lead the Division 1 table by 6 points, Will Lemons proving the difference between the teams. Michael Whaley chipping in with a 73 break for the home side.
Wharfedale fought out a 3-3 draw with Leeds “2”, Adam Rennison putting Leeds in front, Chris Tolson salvaging the draw for Wharfedale.
Leeds “1” had a fine 5-1 home win against neighbours Castleford, Lee Brookes and Lewis Harper on target for Leeds.
The last match between Sheffield “1” and Ossett was postponed at the request of the away side. A 2 point penalty applies.
In Division 2 Halifax gained their first win of the season beating Harrogate “2” 4-2. Johnny Gallagher gaining both points for Halifax and knocking in a break of 87 in the process which is the current high break for the division.
Bradford whitewashed Huddersfield “2” 6-0, Pete Hamilton, Aiden Holroyd and Hanif Rafiq all doing the business for Bradford.
Huddersfield “1” beat Wakefield 4-2, Robert Read sealing the win for Huddersfield.
In the last match, Harrogate “1” ousted Sheffield “3” 5-1, Kaif Shazad and Callum Waite (55) starred for the home side. That result puts Harrogate “1” 6 points clear at the top of the division and ensures Kaif Shazad maintains his lead in the race for MVP.
