Joe Fenton wins Under 25 Title

Joe Fenton emerged victorious from a strong field to win the inaugural Yorkshire Under 25 Championship at the Northern Snooker Centre without the loss of a single frame.

In the preliminary round Joe defeated Dilraj Ryatt 3-0. Elsewhere there were wins for Liam Pullen over Adam Rennison (3-0), Samuel Lee Stevens beat Nathan Silverwood (3-0), Daniel Boyes came through 3-1 against Keerath Bhandaal and in the tie of the round Vladislav Gradinari won a tight 3-2 victory over Jake Crofts.

The Quarter finals all finished 3-0 with wins for Liam Pullen over Vladislav Gradinari, Joe Fenton over Daniel Boyes ,(including the days high break of 73), Samuel Lee-Stevens over Isa Ishtiaq and James Pears over Leon Ellis.

In the semi’s Fenton saw off Pullen 3-0 whilst Pears had a fine win over Lee-Stevens 3-1.

The final proved to be a fairly scrappy affair, Pears having chances in each frame but Fenton doing just enough to fend him off and run out a 3-0 winner.

Jake Crofts won the consolation Plate competition beating Leon Ellis 2-0 in the final.
