Yorkshire U19’s Snooker Championship 2023

Liam Pullen retains U19 Title.

York’s Liam Pullen retained the U19 title he won last year, comfortably defeating Vladislav Gradinari 3-0 in the final.

There were 13 entries for this year’s competition, and it is a reflection of the strength of junior Snooker in Yorkshire at the moment, that the field included 3 national title holders plus a further 3 players who represented England in last season’s Home Internationals.

On his way to the final U18 National Champion Pullen defeated Oscar Chan 2(73,53)-0, Oliver Hudson 2-0 and Samuel Lee Stevens 2-0.

Last year’s U14 National Champion Gradinari had wins over this year’s U14 National Champion Shaun Liu 2-0 before beating current U16 Yorkshire Champion Daniel Boyes 2-0 in the semi-final.

Boyes and Pullen are in action again next Sunday in the quarter finals of the main Yorkshire Snooker Championship.

Thanks to our roaming referee on the day Michael Davenport.
