Daniel Boyes & Dylan Smith are Pairs Champions.

After over 10 hours of play, NSC’s Daniel Boyes and Dylan Smith emerged as this year’s pairs champions, defeating 2 time previous winners Richard Binns and Glen Cassidy 3-1 in the final.

After several marathon matches lasting between 2-3 hours during the day, Binns/Cassidy emerged from the top half of the draw, beating Jason Walton/Andy Blamire in the semi-final. Waiting for them in the final were Boyes/Smith, who had earlier come through a tight semi-final against Luke Drennan/Oliver Mulcahy.

Binns/Cassidy struck first in the final, a 36 break from Binns putting them in front. Breaks of 26 and 32 from Daniel Boyes put the teenagers in front at 2-1 before Dylan Smith crafted a superb 70 break in frame 4 to seal the win.
